Forgiveness of Sins
Romans 5:1
“The forgiveness of sins still remains the sole ground of all peace.”

The forgiveness of sins is receiving from God the good news that He will not hold our wrongdoing against us. This is a wonderfully freeing experience, for it is the ground of our peace with God. Receiving forgiveness from those we have wronged and to whom we have gone with our confession and apology is also a liberating experience, for it frees the wrongdoer from guilt and the one who was wronged from anger or bitterness. This also creates peace. In fact, it creates true peace because it flows from reconciliation.
Meditation True peace is not an uneasy truce; it is the fruit of genuine
openness and forgiveness.
