Psalm 90:12
“God maintains the right of life, even against the man who has grown tired of his life. He gives man freedom to pledge his life for something greater, but it is not his will that man should turn this freedom arbitrarily against his own life.”

Life is God’s gift, but it is our responsibility to make it purposeful. When life lacks meaning, we may be tempted to the point where we despair of life itself. This does not give us the right to take it, but gives us the task only to rediscover its purpose and direction. In this rediscovery, we will need more than care and help; we will need to hear again that life has its center in the love of God.
Thought
God has given us the freedom to make choices and to determine our life’s direction. But we do not have the freedom to turn against ourselves in negative and destructive ways.
