Joy and Sorrow
Ecclesiastes 11:6

Awonderful experience is never perfect or complete, and a sad or difficult experience is never without some value. For the difficult experiences we need to find the grace of God, and for the joyful experiences we need to express true thankfulness. Difficulties thus need to be transformed and wonderful experiences need to be celebrated. In experiencing life in this way, we recognize that while completeness awaits us in the age to come, the bittersweetness of this life is not without its grace and beauty.
Prayer
Lord, in the varied experiences of life help me to take the good things with simplicity and the difficult things with fortitude. Amen.
