The Strong and the Weak

Romans 14:1-4

“The weak must not judge the strong; the strong must not despise the weak.”

—LIFE TOGETHER

Every church has those who are mature and strong, and those who are immature and weak. But such distinctions are never accurate. The weak have their particular gifts to bring and contributions to make, while the strong have weaknesses with which they need to deal. The strong need to encourage the weak without making them dependent, while the weak need to follow the example of the strong without putting them on a pedestal. The mystery of our life together is that all of us can make a contribution providing we have a heart that seeks to serve.

Thought
The final criteria is never whether one is strong or weak, but whether one is growing, learning, giving, and receiving.
