Reward
Matthew 18:4

Many Christians quietly and faithfully carry on a variety of ministries that never receive public recognition. The few that do receive such recognition need to draw even more deeply on the life of Christ. For Christ needs to save them from human adulation, pride, and furthering their own cause, rather than the cause of the Suffering Servant. We often need to be saved from our service as much as from our sin.
Thought
Human rewards for spiritual service remain an ever-present threat in subverting such service.
