Devoid of Promise
Luke 24:49
“The work of God cannot be done without due authorization, otherwise it is devoid of promise.”

Sometimes the things we claim that we do for God have nothing to do with Him at all. They are merely our own agendas, for we have never stopped long enough to pray and to hear from God. We will soon discover that running with our own agendas is a particularly difficult road to walk, for it is without God’s promise, grace, and enabling. Because serving others is difficult enough with God’s direction and grace, we would be foolish doing service in our own strength.
Meditation Work for God should always be done with God.
