In the Presence of His People
Psalm 46:4-5

In worship and thanksgiving, we acknowledge God’s faithfulness rather than His blessings. God’s blessings vary, and He sometimes withholds from us those things that we desire and expect. But God’s faithfulness, steadfastness, and trustworthiness can give cause for great rejoicing, even when His blessings and His dealings with us may cause us problems. Because we do not always understand God’s way with us, we have to trust His faithfulness.
Thought
We are truly relying on God’s faithfulness when we trust Him, not for the peripheral things in our lives, but for those things which are central.
