Preoccupied

Matthew 6:31-34

“Often we are so burdened and overwhelmed with our thoughts, images and concerns that it may take a long time before God’s word has swept all else aside and come through.”

—LIFE TOGETHER

We tend to be slavishly preoccupied. Not only do the pressures and concerns of each day crowd in upon us, but we are constantly living toward the future—planning, hoping, striving for the things we wish to achieve. Consequently, we know little about a center point of stillness where we can hear again those things which God may wish to tell us. We therefore need to take time to become still and lay down all our concerns.

Thought
Taking time to be still is productive time, for it revitalizes us and provides us with new direction.
