Those Inner Desires
Ecclesiastes 8:16-17

We all have desires for love, sexuality, success, appreciation, and significance. All our desires are not always fulfilled, just as all our needs are not always met. This can be due to our particular circumstances at a given time. It can also be due to the choices that we have made. What is important, however, is that we face our unfulfilled desires and needs and seek God’s answers to our dilemmas. Those answers may not always provide a way of escape, a solution, or a sublimation. They may simply be a surrender to the impenetrability of God’s purpose for us.
Meditation
Facing that which is unfulfilled in our lives is learning to face an abyss over which there are a few rope bridges.
