Thank You
Psalm 18:1-2
“O heavenly Father, I praise and thank you For the peace of the night. I praise and thank you for this new day; I praise and thank you for all your goodness and faithfulness throughout my life.”
—PRAYER FROM PRISON
We soon discover that our life is not the result of our own willing and doing. Its quality of richness does not lie in a gloating attitude regarding our own achievements. Instead, life’s rich tapestry is something that we weave when we appreciate and thank the Giver of life. This Giver is the God who loves us in Christ, and who not only protects us, but journeys with us.
Prayer
Father, for Your peace and protection I thank You. I rejoice in Your goodness toward me. But above all, I appreciate Your faithfulness and commitment to me as someone who is fickle and far from consistent. Amen.
