Power of God’s Word
1 Peter 1:22
“He who can speak out of the abundance of God’s word, the wealth of directions, admonitions and consolations of the scriptures will be able through God’s word to drive out demons and help his brother.”

The person who has embraced God’s Word as truth and life is thereby empowered to speak with authority and to live boldly. That authority never lies within ourselves. It also does not come from simply speaking God’s Word, but rather from having heard it, believed it, and lived it. But having lived the truth, we are thereby empowered not only to proclaim it, but to use it to pull down the strongholds of evil.

The person who lives by the Word is also empowered by the Word.
