Promise and Fulfillment
2 Corinthians 1:20
“God does not give us everything we want, but he does fulfil his promises.”

Just because we are Christians does not mean that God’s promises will easily and automatically fall into our lap. God’s Word is never a magical talisman, and God’s promises are always conditional, for they are applied by God’s wisdom. This means that His promises are always realized in His time and in His way. This will call for faith, perseverance, and patience on our part. But to the one who waits for God’s timing, God’s promises will be realized.
Thought
We often think that God is slow in doing what we ask of Him in faith, but His timing is always better than ours.
