Description:
Getting angry is not the problem as much as not knowing what to do when you are angry. Unmanageable anger can be costly from a physical, emotional, and relationship standpoint. You may be able to manage how you respond in some situations, and yet can be ineffectual or harmful in other situations. Dr. Pam has been certified by NAMA (National Anger Management Association) to teach this class. It has been adapted to include scripture as the basis for change in any Christian’s life. The 12-week course covers the following topics and goals:
- Overview of anger management treatment
- Events and cues that trigger Anger
- How to develop your anger control plan
- Understanding the aggression cycle
- Cognitive restructuring
- Assertiveness training and the conflict resolution model
